Awe To Mind

In the woods, in the woods

Where the trees sway and ghosts brood

In the dark, in the dark

Where the stars shine and wolves bark

The leaves rustle, the leaves rustle

As I wander with a muffled hustle

The wind whistles, the wind whistles

As I ponder the mysteries of these bristles

Underfoot, underfoot

The sticks and rocks crunch and scoot

With each step, with each step

I hear a sound I cannot cede or prep

Stillness surrounds, stillness surrounds

My heartbeat echoes, my thoughts unbound

In the woods, in the woods

My mind in awe, my soul's newfound.
