Before sunrise, the forest hums,
dawn’s breath pulling each branch awake
with silent strings of light.
Birdsong bursts—bright fragments
skipping over dew-dappled ground,
each note a glimmering ripple
across a glassy pond.
Soft colors bloom: pale gold, rose—
the world unfolding behind my eyes,
leaf and petal in quiet reverence,
a choir of unspoken praise.
My pulse finds rhythm in the hush,
heart and earth entwined,
a duet of breath and becoming,
feet barely touching the soil.
But then—
I realize the music isn’t just beyond these trees.
It lives beneath my ribs, too—
a memory of laughter, a chord of hope
struck deep before dawn.
Now the forest’s song and mine entwine,
each step a note in a fragile dance,
carried on wings I never knew I had,
soaring through the day’s promise
and into the hush of tomorrow.

This description of the forest at dawn is really beautiful. It makes me think of early morning hikes I've been on. The way you capture the sounds and colors is spot-on. It's like you're painting a picture with words. I wonder how you managed to put such a vivid image together. Did you draw inspiration from a specific forest or is it a combination of different ones you've experienced? Also, the idea of the forest's song and our own inner music intertwining is really profound. How do you think we can better attune to that connection in our daily lives?
