My perfect devotion is a secret song
Written for your heart
And your heart alone
I will only know the words
When our lips part and touch
A choir will open
Their heavenly mouths
Supplying me the melody
Allowing me to
Laud your beauty aloud
For the first time
The plucking of heartstrings
In perfect time
To the hypnotizing way
Your eyes blink when you’re happy
Keeping the beat steady
In my mouth without falter
Though I quiver in my toes for loving you
Until such time as we are together
I stare into the fire
A perfect replica of your swirling hair
Writing verses
Though they’re mere words
I’ve penned them in soul-bound fire
Awaiting sweet notes
To shower down upon us
