As autumn leaves fall in graceful flight,
The summer's warmth fades into the night.
Once vibrant hues now whisper of despair,
With each soft flutter, a chill fills the air.
The golden sun retreats, its light grown dim,
While shadows lengthen, the days grow slim.
A world of brown and gold unfurls,
Yet in its beauty, a melancholy swirls.
Dark days loom ahead, with breath,
Snow winds and rain, reminders of death.
The heart, once happy now heavy with sighs,
In the fading light, it quietly cries.
I long for the dawn when spring will arrive,
When flowers awaken, and come alive.
For in that season, hope dances anew,
here in the chill, my sorrow makes mefeel blue
As I gather my thoughts like leaves in a pile,
Wishing for warmth, for the sun's gentle smile.
But in this sadness, I find a smile still—
For even in darkness, the heart learns to fill.
With dreams of the petals that soon will mould,
And the vibrant embrace of a blossoming world.
Though autumn may linger and winter’s frost bite,
the promise of spring for me burns so bright
