Autumn winds begin to sigh,
As golden leaves drift from the trees,
They dance beneath a quiet sky,
Carried by a gentle breeze.
The air grows crisp, the sunlight fades,
Shadows lengthen through the day,
Woodsmoke curls from chimney shades,
As dusk paints skies in soft decay.
The harvest moon is glowing bright,
Casting silver on the land,
While stars emerge to greet the night,
A twinkling crowd on heaven’s strand.
Soon the frost will lace the ground,
And winter's chill will settle in,
But for now, no sweeter sound,
Than autumn’s whispers on the wind.
