I watch you, tumbling

In your red spiral death-dive;

The dance of Autumn.

    I read the one about striptease first, and now we are on classic ballroom dancing. Love it, Rachel!

    The contrast between dance and death-dive is excellent Rachel, and hits on both ways of seeing the leaves fall😊

    Spiral death dive! What a turn of phrase and image, Rachel! 😃

    The dance of death reminds me of Bergman’s film The Seventh Seal and the medieval plague years in general. For me it makes the poem feel like more than a celebration of autumn, perhaps a commentary about the autumnal season of our lives. But I’m probably reading into it. Beautiful poem, Rachel. Good luck on the challenge!

  • Another vivid Autumn haiku: Excellent: “ red spiral death-dive;”🤩

    Autumn dance and deathfall. God, you're such a creative writer. I already knew that, of course, Rachel, but it's always so good getting that reminder. You really should put a book together. One of your minis/micros and one of your poems. Well done.

  • Oooo, death-dive. I love that! Such a beautiful Haiku!
