Autuminter

When the air gets cold

It stirred my soul

The rain met the ground, softly

The rain met my core

My essence, shattered

To pieces when the delicate transition

between autumn and winter

Between the season of crisp golden hues of leaves

In my inner landscape

And the cold, frosty reality

Of my outer landscape

Clashed with each other,

Bringing upon

The mighty season

"Autuminter",

The period where autumn meets winter,

Golden, red and yellow

Meet snowflakes,

Rain meets warm flames of fire,

A colorful magic meets a frozen one,

And I stay with my confused mind,

Trying to make sense of a world,

That sometimes makes no sense at all.

I love this piece, Maya! You brought me right in to the emotion of conflicting feelings, seasons, the dark and light colliding. Beautiful poem!
