Alone I am in darkness so deep.
My mind is a storm, a restless heap.
Within the shadows I secretly fight.
Silence burdens me, a solemn plight.
Family forsakes to feel my pain.
They call it a problem, a stain.
A flaw in behavior, they pretend to know.
Their lack of empathy like a vicious blow.
Turn their backs, as their hearts grow cold.
Their words like shackles, my spirit sold.
Limitations define my soul.
While preconceived notions take their toll.
In this lonesome battle, I find my way.
All through the night, I long for day.
Strength inside, my power is might.
Navigates me through like the North Star at night.
Though family's tolerance may not be.
I'll accept myself and rise free.
For in this journey, I will see.
To break the chains and simply be me.
