A prismatic Lantern's beam of golden sunlight pierces the air in the still moment after the sun had set.
The aurora borealis unfurls like a celestial pirouette across the northern sky -ribbons of green, violet, and crimson weaving through the darkness with ethereal grace.
It ignites a faint ballet of colors on the horizon, then blooms into a living canvas that dances above snow-laced forests and frozen lakes.
Visual luminous curtains ripple in slow motion, as if the stars themselves were sighing.
Emerald waves surge upward, tinged with sapphire and magenta, pulsing in rhythm with the solar winds. The sky becomes a canvas of motion - fluid, hypnotic, alive.

Below, the world is baptized in a reverent silence, No one breathes.
Pine trees stand like silent witnesses, their branches dusted with frost.
A lone cabin glows like a faint lantern in the distance, its chimney trailing smoke into the cold air. The silence is profound, broken only by the crunch of snow and the occasional gasp of awe.

To witness the aurora is to feel time pause. It evokes wonder, humility, and a strange sense of connection - as if the universe is speaking in color.
Some say it feels like standing inside a dream, others like touching the soul of the Earth.
It strikes the smooth, transparent aura of the rainbow showering the night with wonder.
People gather to watch the aurora's angelic colors of pure magnificence.
As it passes through, the light bends, refracting into a cascade of vivid colors---deep indigos melting into fiery reds, warm ambers blending with gentle greens.
The spectrum dances across the surface, painting the world in an ethereal glow. Each hue is sharp, yet fluid.
Then comes a shifting, as the angle changes, casting ephemeral gradients of colors onto the walls like fleeting whispers of light.
It’s a quiet kind of magic---an everyday miracle sculpted by physics, yet breathtakingly poetic.
What wonderous lanterns light up the night skies.

Well-wrought, Antoni! I hope I might get to see this in person one day, but by the time such an opportunity is afforded, my old bones may be too brittle to bear the cold!
This is first rate work, Antoni. You are giving us the gold standard of prose and poetry. The way you put your words together, the words you chose to use, the way everything flows together, and the images evoked make this a memorable piece. Sorry for going overboard - but you are truly talented.
That first part - I so want to be there!
What a description and I could actually see it through your words. Good job.
Let everyone say...AMEN! Beautiful imagery and words.
The aurora borealis is simply magical!
Excellent pictures painted, Antoni. Loved this line especially, “as if the stars themselves were sighing.” ☺️
