Aura

Our Eyes

By Chrismichael Published 5 years ago 1 min read
Horizon's Light

Lavender and mint,

Bright purple beams of light,

I see you there.

Even though I am alone,

Wrapped in my clouds of black and grey.

Misty with pain and longing.

Missing you and the dreams I call memories.

Was I once a bright red storm?

A soul aflame with lightning,

Burning holes into crashing waves below.

You showed me once upon a time,

As we sailed technicolor seas on my childhood twin mattress of daydreams.

I see it sometimes now,

Through the haze,

A golden horizon,

The bright side, I know your eyes continue to guide me towards.

We see it together,

Just another exploring ship navigating the waters of these deep dark seas,

Ever searching for rainbows.
