Atop a Watermelon

A random dream

I stood atop a watermelon

And saw a cherry blossom sky

Floating in the wind was a glint in his lilac eyes

Like shooting stars or embers, glowing with the wind

They took me to the ends of it all

Where Saturn bent it’s hips

And dipped for me so slowly as if I was scared,

Yet took me to another hight, and all I did was stare

Into the abyss of the ever ocean blue

Where he called out in siren songs,

One for me, and one for you

I can’t help but think, it was all a dream...

Standing on that watermelon, hoping I had seen,

All the colors of the rainbow and I touched it too

But then I slowly woke from sleep and instead there I saw you

I wasn’t sure if surprise had set in or if I was just confused,

Take me back to those picnic days when I loved me, the sky and you
