She moved across the floor with an impossibly liquid gait.

Her smile a spotlight, illuminating the world.

The wildfire of her majesty ravenously consumed the atmosphere.

Demanding all attention.

Whenever she speaks, everyone listened, laughing at her jokes.

I however, I did not! I heard nothing.

Having been sepulchred into her.

The flash of green when her eyes met the light.

The flowing curvature of her delicate body.

Who would have thought, love existed at first sight!

I felt as if I were having an encounter with a mythical diety.

As if I'd been somehow transported into another realm.

The realm where only gods and goddesses reside.

Yet I a mere mortal, pierced by young Love's arrow,

Had fallen for her. This Aphrodite! Were I only Adonis!

The music ensued, calling all to the ballroom floor.

I moved, only as does a pet, trailing after it's master.

Asked by all for a dance, she obliged.

I watched from across the room, encapsuled in her ambience.

Then without warning her eyes met mine. She smiled.

I pinched myself, surely i'd been dreaming!

The music ceased, allowing rest for the dancers

That's when it happened!

Out of breath, smiling, she made her way to me

"May I join you" she asked.

Her perfumed body intoxicated my mind.

I made no reply, the lump in my throat wouldn't allow.

Our eyes affixed, i moved over, allowing her room.

She sat, still our eyes conversed.

I could tell my eyes spoke a million words.

Which she understood clearly.

Again that smile!

And I you! Her eyes responded.

I died a thousand small deaths! Each followed by an ecstasy of rebirth.

The palpitations in my chest raced, as adrenaline rushed through me.

I know not how long we stared in each other's eyes, souls!

Finally, I spoke, inviting her to a walk of the grounds.

Her smile said it all.

I had seen it! Hidden deep in the enclaves of her eyes,

Her's was a tortured soul.

The promenade of her highly social nature.

The spouse who failed to satisfy her loving existence.

The innate instability of her early marriage.

He chose not to see her tormented form.

Laying here, next to her,i fully comprehend destiny.

Eight years ago, two lost souls found each other,

And thus found themselves and love.
