Astral Lover

Meet Me in the Full Moons Light

The winding hill was highlighted in the full moons light

The car ride was smooth, but I still slid in my seat at each turn

Gripping the car door with my right hand

Bracing myself with my left

Not really sure how I got here

Or where I was going for that matter

This wasn’t my car, and I barely knew this woman

But for some reason, I trusted her

Maybe I was her

Or she is me

Perhaps she was never actually there

Or a spirit guide, taking me to where I needed to be

I entered the home at the top of the hill

The modern dwelling a lovely contrast to the mountains and hills beyond it

The lights were dim inside

The moonlight shone through the vast windows

Gracing it’s glow upon the hardwood floors

Which creaked beneath my footsteps

There was a man who spoke to me

He told me his name was George

But for some reason, I called him Sam

His smile so genuine

As his lips parted I could only think of what they might feel like upon mine

This feeling overwhelmed me

Left my consciousness spiraling between dimensions

Like an astral seizure, I fell

I was in another realm, perhaps a parallel universe

Realizing this, I realized that he was my Husband there

I woke up with a longing I couldn’t explain

This man was mine on another plane

The way he looked at me, spoke to me, smiled at me

Made me feel alive

I was me, but someone else entirely

Now every time I walk alone in the moonlight

George crosses my mind

I’m hoping that he is happy

I long to meet him once more

We will meet again, meet me in the full moons light
