Aster flowers bloom

On the day of the unexpected

Blooming too soon

On the day of a terrible accident

Aster Flowers stand

As long as they can

In a cruel storm

Full of love and hate

Trying to stay warm

Living with confusing memories

Loving all the beautiful dreams

Aster flowers stand

As long as they can

In the rain and in the wind

Standing up tall

In a self designed whirlwind

All day long they just watch

All night long they just try

To stay dry

From all the tears that they cry

From always loving

But never being loved

Hope has never been on the Aster’s side

With all the misguided asters

For all the times they’ve lied

Aster flowers die

One at a time

Slowly wilting

Just giving in

Yet one little aster stands alone

Who can never understand

Wanting to always be in dreamland

Never thinking

But always believing

I guess hope was on the aster’s side

Because despite all her flaws

She’s still alive today

sad poetry
