or is it society's taunt?

if you're hurting or you're sad

cling to someone, you won't feel so bad!

no need to address the mess in your head

bring roses, cook dinner, tuck ‘em in bed

it really does make a great distraction

from the hopeless lack of any real action

the stagnant water, ocean of repression

never address it, never learn my lesson

i could use a qualified service personnel

to repair my heart, to make me feel well

but that requires far too much trust

that part of me is brittle with rust

just leave me to my bad habits

and the personal hell I inhabit
