Ashes of Despair

In the depths of my soul, a fire once burned,

But now, my heart is cold and my spirit yearns.

For love, like a fragile flame, has flickered and died,

Leaving behind ashes of despair, deep inside.

Once, love bloomed like a flower in spring,

Its tendrils entwined, a harmonious thing.

But storms of doubt and misfortune drew near,

And the fragile petals began to disappear.

Oh, how we danced in the moon's gentle glow,

A symphony of passion, a love's vibrant show.

But the music ceased, and the rhythm fell apart,

Leaving behind a hollow echo in my heart.

Promises whispered, like a gentle breeze,

Now lost in the silence, shattered with ease.

Our dreams, once vivid, now a faded refrain,

A bitter reminder of love's cruel domain.

In the ruins of our love, I stand alone,

Beneath a sky of sorrow, my heart turning to stone.

Yet, amid the wreckage, a glimmer remains,

A whisper of hope, amidst the tears and the pains.

For love may falter, like a flame's fleeting breath,

But from its embers, new life may find its birth.

In the ashes of despair, a phoenix may rise,

Renewed and resilient, with hope in its eyes.

So, let the tears fall and cleanse my weary soul,

For from the pain, a stronger heart shall unfold.

Though love may fail and dreams may turn to dust,

I'll rise from the ashes, in love I'll still trust.

For love's failures are lessons, bitter and wise,

Guiding me forward, opening my eyes.

And though this chapter ends with a somber toll,

New love will emerge, and my heart will be whole.
