Ascension

From Silence to Zeal

Absent minded boy opens his eyes a few days after sunrise in the new year—

Before, no before the new year I remember him fondly—

Clearly, and fondly it was after the new year I could hear him

Deep voice responding— “silence”,

Everyday after that like

Fighting, or feigning angst— a heightened —

Guidance, like missiles

Headed towards

Islands and on the isle the small child

Jests about jumping with gay jubilee

Kindly a young mind inquires

Likely begetting the most unlikely

Misanthrope

"Not today, you see— my stomach is in knots"

Oceans inside violently collide

Practically ripping through

Questions of empathy inwardly

Reliving imagery keeps the trauma stuck

Still

Triggering— like snips to zip ties

Uncovering sensitivities —

Vulnerabilities exposed,

Whimsically if you’d please or rhythmically a river becomes

Xeric, hysterical to think about

Young man stranded in time with an absent mind mistaken

Zealousness replaces apathy

Action over analysis because analysis drains energy?
