Ascendant

Ascendant

Ascendant:

Drowning us slowly

Inside of slow motion

Within her wings she's

Keeping us close

How many times can we count

Where I've died inside my skin

Shrouding the empyrean within her blight

Dive into the smoke of swirling sands

A crack in the cosmic eye

With whispers of the old gods in her ear

Caligriphied inside the crystal skull

Burning phosphorescent

And light the astral path

Eddies of affliction coalesces

Mirrors grow the ashen oceans above

The silent gavel smashes my mind

While the blood seeps out from my dreams

Into the widening narrows crumbling the decay

And we dance on the ashes of our fallen kings
