Imagine me
having to read
in order to compete.
Yet here I am
Drunk as can be
let's see.
How can I relate?
No Afro for me,
Chariot free,
California driver
Lover of sparking water.
But wait
I love soul food too
and I too am made of water
Butterfly lover, Monarchs for me.
I, a tulip but violet
alone at first
but bound by humanity,
part of a field of dreams.
