As They Flew By

a detailed account of the day that birds in a backyard reconnected me to the paths of life .

Fibonacci's divine spiral through divine creatures .

i watched the birds as they flew by

some landed on the little tree

some landed on the fence of the neighbor across from i

but i watched as they flew and they perched and sat contently in their choice to do so

they were quite active however

and as the freedom of their minds and the stimulation of their environment peaked their curiosity

across they flew

their energy infectious

birds now popping up in droves

the sheer abundance in this particular backyard suburb was quite jarring

but i watched on knowing now that observation was key

with some simply choosing another spot to perch

perhaps across the yard on the adjacent neighbors fence

and some landing on the grill or flittering on the concrete

but it was the some swooping down to the ground

taking refuge in the grass

and finding solace and excitement in the land

that really caught my eye

I knew that the lesson to be learned was found in the ones on the ground

one landed before me and took a long stroll

hopping along the grass like a new adventure

knowing that it could get to where it's going so much faster by flying

but choosing to walk on the ground

and admiring the scenery and bathing in simplicity of walking on foot

this particular bird finished its exploratory hike through the untold wonders of the ground and flew to the nearby fence to accompany his fellow peeps

I noticed the numbers before anything

the sheer volume of the patterns struck my mind like lightening

i counted three birds walking in a line

4 birds landing on the very top of the little tree with 2 birds perched on the branches below

there were 6 birds in total and then one flew away

i noticed 7 birds on the fence adjacent from that in front

with 4 standing tall at the forefront

and as i began to ponder the numbers and their implications

another few birds landed on the ground to explore

perhaps bc their friend told them abt the stroll

but one in particular caught my eye

drawing my focus again to the curiousness of their exploratory nature

one bird so enthralled w the grasses on the ground chose to walk through the small bushes right in front of the screening of the porch

i watched curiously as he hoped along

getting smacked in the little bird beak by these tall blades of grass

but the bird was seeming to enjoy his path anyways

despite the challenging nature of the task

i began to contrast this moment w that of the bird before

how can both birds find contentment in their path when there is an inherently easier way to enjoy the experience without meeting the adversity of the latter ?

i began to ponder

why did the bird choose the path through the bushes ?

why does it continue to walk through the grass ?

and as the thought struck my mind

in that instant the bird got caught in a particularly thick part of the grass and began to struggle

alerted to the birds plight

feeling empathy as i connected his story to my own

i whispered softly in my mind

"you don't have to walk through the bushes anymore"

and just like that

entirely at once the birds in the backyard mobilized

and away they flew simultaneously into the woods

and their chirps grew louder than ever before

it was breathtakingly beautiful

one of the miracles of the projections of the absolute .
