as the world cries
I mourn the loss of
the happiness the world
used to have people are
losing loved ones left
and right and it seems like
healing from sickness
and disease is out of sight
as the world cries
I have hope for tomorrow
that one day the tears
that the world cries will be
replaced with freedom
to walk again and breathe
again without fear
And realize that hope
is just a tear away
as the world cries
I pray for a better tomorrow
and that the sun will rise
and bring us joy again
and that we as the world
won't be dictated by sorrow
as the world cries
