As I look up
As the clouds wander
I wonder
I wonder
What it might be like
To be somewhere else
In that very second
On that very day
Same time
Different sky
Different clouds
Same body?
Same mind?
Someone else
looking up
as the clouds wander
Wondering
Wondering
What it might be like
To be somewhere else
Maybe they are like me
or completely different
Maybe they are stuck
or trapped in someway
Maybe they are constantly
moving in reverse.
Maybe they are looking for hope
of a better day and life
Maybe they are just looking
Wondering
Wondering
as the clouds wander

Oh this is an old one and I’ve already commented. Feel like I identify with the moving in reverse line! Argh. 😅😑 Enjoyed reading this one again. One I’d forgotten.
Paul this was relatable, insightful and thought provoking! I often wonder who else is looking at the same sky or who else is looking up and thinking about what other skies look like that day! Great piece, I love the relative language and the way you created a stream of consciousness sort of narration for the reader to follow. Great work Paul!
I can't wait to be out there ,looking up at the wandering clouds and wondering. And now I wonder where my thoughts might take me. Really love this. Well done x
Love the dreamy, introspective vibes here Paul. Great job. ☺️👏
This is great, and thought provoking. Well done, buddy.
I LOVE this, Paul. As an astrologer, I am always thinking about how we’re all so different due to life experiences, but under the same sky. I think about all the people born on the same day, yet so unlike one another—even twins, who shared the womb and got raised in the same environment by the same people at the same time. I wonder who I would be and how I would think if I swapped places with someone. Then, I wonder how many people could handle being me, and what they’d do with the hand I was dealt. Great contemplative piece, thought provoking as usual. And I agree with Poppy about the play on wander/wonder.
I can only wonder, Paul, what wondering might be like. Love the poem. My kind of thought process.
There's nothing quite like gazing at the clouds to make one wonder. It's almost as if they carry the thoughts that come to mind. This is an amazing piece, Paul!
“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.” - Eleanor Roosevelt Consider yourself one of the greats, Paul! 👏
👏👏👏Yes!! Alllllll the time haha. I’m writing something (creepy version though lol) kinda in the same vein actually!
Nice piece, Paul! The parallel multiverses and even simply the many options and choices we have (to make) in real life are quite mind-boggling and magnetic at the same time. No wonder one may wander and wonder
I love the repition of wander and wonder. Really reflective and imaginative
I too often look at the wandering clouds and wonder. How many of us are looking at the same exact cloud at the same time. I loved your poem Sir Paul!
I wonder if the writer wanted to experience an out body travel ?🧐
