as Mud

before a drop became ripples

sometimes i

see

things

that aren't even there

burnt out retinal emotion commotion

i don't even know if i care (anymore)

sometimes i

hear

things

faint and strained to the distance things

tamed tremors tenuously translated

darkness swallows the vibrationally real

sometimes i

feel

things

crawling under my skin

i know how to get them out

how the fuck did they get in?

sometimes i

smell

things

and it could be a mile away

some fired up a BBQ

or an embryonic fray

sometimes i

taste

things

and i swear it tasted like beer

half an hour later the fuzzy began

and then everything became clear

this one is so creative, leaves you craving more. Alas, I have no sense (yeah, I did that)

This is really cool, Brenton! You had me with 'emotional commotion' and then I get to a 4 word All T alliterative line! I love alliteration. Great execution wIth all five senses. Intoxicating. ⚡💙⚡
