A poem of peace

The voice inside led me to a dark room,

My career…the loud growls and soft coos,

The door was cracked and inside was gloom,

A voice behind “walk with me.” It whispered;

I turned and spotted another door with a being beside,

There was a white mist veil beyond the door,

A pavement that begged to follow inside,

I looked back at my gloomy career, why not walk?

Now beside the being I took her hand,

Stepping through the door into the great mist,

My adventure into peace began,

I could not see behind or before just where I was at;

A tree shrouded in sunset surrounded by soft green grass,

Seeing only what was around me,

The pavement still continued alas,

The being ushered me forward quickly;

She was used to the scene all around,

She was gentle but urgent,

A walk to a destination we were surely bound,

The air was pleasant and the breeze warm;

We stop and the being turns to me,

To give answers to the unasked questions,

What did I have yet to see?

I wake up and I want to go back,

I wanted to stay and just be.
