As I Earn 6 Cents

I saw my earnings update.

Six cents!

For writing and engaging

for hours.

So the string of poems

is not enough.

I need something else.

What that could be?

I need people to read.

Some articles don’t even have

a few readers’ footfall.

So how can I do well?

I remembered

the old adage:

Do unto others

as you want unto you.

Want support?

Give it first.

If they come—great.

If not, you learned something

by reading them.

So I decide to read

as much as I write.

Let’s see

how effective it will be.

I hope it’ll be better than

six cents.
