We live in a world of chaos or peace

To be released

Is a new dawn of light

That shines so bright

Into the night

Of darkness and light

Into the space of bright

Shining sun

To outshine the darkness

Of the dark night of the soul of one

Sparkles of star sparkles

To wake us up yesterday

But the light dimmed

Too soon today

I saw the light shining over the freeway

Of time

Of life

Of strife

We all see the dark

We all see the stars spark.

We all see the freeway.

We all see today as yesterday.

Along the way

Of life’s freeway

We love.

We hate.

We debate.

We see the clouds moving above.

Our heads as we move forward.

Not backwards

As before we sleep

We are awake as we dream

Of past schemes

Of former lovers and friends.

The past is gone now.

But somehow, I loved deeply,

Was hurt deeply,

But somehow survived to become strong

Along the way today

I found the way

To the light

So bright

Through my music.

Once again, I create,

Not too late

Remembering the days of young

Songs

Playing my piano for hours at a time

To create words that rhyme

In time

To music

Once again, I am here today

Creating music and rhyme

It is time

For music and rhyme

This time

At 75 I am alive

To survive decades of life

Of work, friends, and lovers

So, I discover

I never knew what love was to me.

So, let it be

I am here to love humanity.

Too late for any lovers to be,

Single and free

It is to be with me,

Smile today

Along the way

Of time and space

To third base

Peace to the world

Of dancing and swirls

Of love breakups and tears

I cry but this year

I smile as I create my music again,

To live again

In a paint bucket of paints

Of many colors

To write, create and debate.

It’s not too late.

The past cannot be changed to be perfect.

Perfection is a false concept of reliance upon perfection,

Of perfect

We can create our own style.
