Are We All Just Running Our Own Marathon?
Embracing the Pace of Your Own Time Zone
Life is not life when you get what you want; life is life when things go wrong. You think what you missed is youth, but no, what you gained is youth. Don't just remember to look up at the moon in the sky every day; also remember to pick up six pennies on the ground occasionally.
Don’t worry that you start slower than others. Time is the friend of long-termists. Please live your life with a marathon mentality. Take it one step at a time, slowly, in your own time zone.
The purpose of working hard is not to prove how good you are, but so that when unexpected and uncontrollable factors arise, the cultivation and ability accumulated through hard work in daily life can become the confidence to withstand all storms.
When people come into this world, there will always be many things that are not satisfactory and many injustices; there will be many losses and much envy. You envy my freedom, I envy your constraints; you envy my car, I envy your house; you envy my job, I envy the fact that you always have time to rest every day.
Perhaps, we are all farsighted, always living in admiration of others; perhaps, we are all nearsighted, often ignoring the happiness around us.
The road of life is very long, and the future is as bright as the stars and the sea. There is no need to hesitate about the half-acre square pond of the past. Those so-called regrets may be a kind of growth, and those injuries that have been suffered will eventually turn into lights that illuminate the road ahead.
One day you will understand that what really heals you is not time, but the relief and pattern in your heart. As long as your heart is not panicked, even the world can hardly affect you.
