Aquatic Alchemy
A free verse poem about the healing magic of H20
In the soothing morning light,
water mumbles,
a soft hymn of revival,
its clear welcome,
a gentle ointment for the fatigued,
the dried-out heart,
and the exhausted soul.
π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
It leaks from summits,
flowing like mirth,
inviting us to drink
from Mother Earthβs well,
to bathe in the breeze
that rinses out
the remains of the past.
πππππ
In every droplet, a tale-
of rivers modeling valleys,
of rain feeding fields,
of the seaβs large embrace,
protecting dreams and secrets,
every ocean wave a prompt
of our shared thirst.
π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
It waltzes in the glass,
a liquid word of honour,
healing forgotten souls,
mending the cracks,
in our frangible existence,
snuffing out the fires of famine,
smoothing out the edges of woe.
πππππ
With every gulp,
it fixes the delicate threads,
weaving energy into our bones,
stirring life from its depths,
stimulating the beat of the heart,
a polyphony of rebirth,
in the quiet of its flow.
π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
So let us treasure this souvenir,
this natural elixir of life,
the humble H20,
a consecrated ship,
a speculum reflecting,
the simplest candor
to be alive is to quaff,
to seek comfort,
in the embrace of the planet.
