Spring Has Sprung

A violet surprise

Renews the cold soil,

Crocuses are first to rise

Leading through frosty turmoil.

Soft sweet chirps break

Winters cool crisp air,

As fresh buds take form among

The stark trees without a care.

Squirrels gather for high

Noon tea and rejoice,

Without asking, their cups fill from the sky

Receiving, abundance , and yet - no voice?

Her subtle signs show

All that will come,

If we only didn’t know,

She’s no fool..

We might stop and learn some.

Spring smiles at me whimsically,

From afar, as to say - “thrive.”

So I bloom intrinsically…

April, she’s impatient, but she’s alive.
