Apricot Pomegranate

The apricot bragged it could be eaten,

all but the seed.

Missing the fact that inside the pomegranate

there were edible seeds.

The pomegranate presented as toxic,

while the inside was healthy.

The pomegranate did not want to

be consumed by just any herbivore.

Only the ones that could figure out

how to make way to its core.

the apricot seemed plenty.

The apricot seeds presented a tasty core

with a hidden bitter score.

When told about the fruit's seeds

they point to a harder avocado seed for sure

but the deflection doesn't stop the sore.

The lack of seed reflection is so poor.
