
“Appreciate what you have
before time makes you appreciate
what you had.”
I always think of someone I loved
who has left us
when I read this.
But,
of course,
it can apply to anything or anyone we hold dear.
We live such busy lives
that it is so easy to overlook
the simple joys that really do surround us
and that are in our lives today.
It is so important for our mental health
to take some time,
every single day,
to sit quietly and think about
all of the good things and people in our lives.
Writing these down in a Gratitude journal
will be a gentle reminder
of what and who
we should appreciate and be grateful for.
Focusing on the things and people
which empowers us
will fill our thoughts with
constructive,
optimistic and
beneficial thoughts.
Appreciation is everything.
