Apple Picking
The art of picking the best of the bunch
How could I pick just one?
There are just too many
some small
some big
some red
some green
some yellow
all their own individual self
so how could you pick just one?
Some are sweet
some are tart
some are bruised
some are perfect
until you take that first bite.
You never truly know when you’ve got that perfect pick
the best of the bunch in you arms
the apple you’ve longed for
but then again
what if I wasted my time?
What if I didn’t make the right choice?
Only time can tell...

It's Tuesday 7:13 a.m. A cold and clear November morning awaits Ray on his morning commute. Ray rubs his hands together in the front seat of his Subaru. He turns the air temperature up, but keeps the air on low until the air warms up. He looks at the backup camera screen and reverses the Subaru out of his driveway onto Trimble Road.
