I'm sorry I overthink
I'm sorry my mind is quick to think the worst
I'm sorry it bugs you
I promise I try not to
But it's worse when I feel you pull away
When I think a distance has suddenly grown between us
When you barely speak to me
You hardly respond back
And when you do
You keep it to only a few words
I don't want to be a bother
I tell myself I won't reach out unless you do first
But you're my favorite person to talk to
So, there's a sadness when I don't hear from you
But I will remain in my silence
Not concerning you with my childish worries
