Anxious Me

You choke me

holding me tight until I am nauseous

reminding me of ugly things that causes me to think

waking me at night causing my heart to skip beats

pushing me until I'm light headed and weak

fighting me when I'm so over you

intruding on my peaceful afternoons

reminding me of the times I struggle and lose

but nowadays I've given you the blues

because when I awake I give it all to God

I remind myself if you appear this battle will end

this relationship is one sided for you are not my friend

you had your moment

I've had more than I can take

anxiety I've beaten you with my praying faith.
