Anxiety

A Poem

By Kayla VolnerPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Anxiety is like drowning,

Slowly suffocating.

Constantly frowning,

Trying to keep yourself from panicking.

Anxiety is panic attacks,

When you just think your getting better.

Everything slowly stacks,

Until you can't hold it all in anymore.

Anxiety is losing everything,

Everything you thought was once good for you.

To everything you attempt to kling,

But you can't hold on.

Anxiety is like a swing,

You have your ups and downs.

Slowly losing sight of everything,

Missing what should be the best days of your life.

Anxiety is like a leach,

Sucking the life out of you.

Gasping for air as you give your speech.

Reaching for someone to help, but nobody sees.

Anxiety is pain,

That most people having felt.

Anxiety is like going insane,

Trying to calculate your next move to skip the attacks.

Anxiety is losing your soul,

As you fall into a state of depression.

Slowly losing control,

As those bad thoughts take over.

Anxiety is thinking to much,

Thinking people are constantly judging everything you do.

Slowly losing touch,

With everything you once loved.
