Anxiety

And other complaints...

Years of sleep deprivation finally took their toll,

Unrelenting allergies, dismissed as a cold,

Brain fatigue, brain fog, palpitating tinitis,

CT scans are clear, no Cranial Edema to fear.

My eyes feel sunken and heavy, too.

My face is numb, my brain swelling, pressing against my skull,

temples throbbing, no tumors, no reason in sight,

Just another allergy, migraine-induced insomnia night.

Motion sick, dizzy, the antihistamines and steroids have failed,

Excedrin migraine sends my anxiety over the rails.

PCOS acne, Endometrial cramping,

can't have NSAIDs while on steroids, my doctor declares, stamping.

Massages help, but just for a moment,

Another month, maybe two, severe allergies until the season is through.

Heart palpitating, keep on hydrating,

exercising, and therapy, and feeling my energy waning.

Change the filters, no more caffeine,

Don't panic, just breathe, 1, 2, 3,

How many days has it been?

I like your subtitle. I also love reading about complaints. πŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ’ŒOoo I like the rhythm. The detailing of the symptoms, how even they were rhythmic. πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ Crazy how anxiety can hide itself yet still cause the most symptoms. πŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ’Œ'Massages help, but just for a moment' I am so sorry πŸ«‚ It's probably been ten, too many days. You were able to make me understand your struggles with a rhythm. Every line was smooth and inviting. Outstanding work, Amy πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ–€
