Another Twenty Years
For Real Poetic's One Year Anniversary Challenge
Amazing, the storms we've weathered, the joys we've shared, the love, the tears, the screams
Never doubted for a moment (well, never doubted for very long),
Never stopped loving, adoring every gray hair and wrinkle,
Inevitable reminders of the steadfastness of us
Vital to my core, vital as air to breathe
Entwined so thoroughly there's no knowing where one ends and the other begins
Renewing commitment and vows with every success and setback
Seeking and encouraging both separate and conjoined dreams,
Aware that the health of the whole is the health of the two,
Reincarnating and reinventing our selves and our union as we grow, always realizing
Yesterday is merely a precursor to tomorrow
