At times I come to conclude

that still packaged, my heart came broken.

And the whispers supposedly at fault

were never really spoken.

-

I received two hearts

jagged, splintered and halfed.

And when all hearts broke to pain

mine merely laughed.

-

I thought I was sorta lucky

not cowering at the spear.

For it can do no damage

if the stab's already there.

-

So I watched the girl crumble

and hide so I won't see.

And then my heart surprised me,

For it hurt and broke in three.
