I saw the the necked wading bird of my generation destroyed,

How I mourned the heron.

Never forget the throated and turtlenecked heron.

How happy is the musky stork!

Does the stork make you shiver?

does it?

Flemish is, in its way, the black congo of dutch.

Does the flemish make you shiver?

does it?

The pelecaniform seabird that's really cunning,

Above all others is the pelican.

Now ingenious is just the thing,

To get me wondering if the pelican is dodgy.

How happy is the brown peacock!

Does the peacock make you shiver?

does it?

How happy is the beautiful turtle!

Down, down, down into the darkness of the turtle,

Gently it goes - the ideal, the awesome, the delicious.
