Angels in our Midst
Haiku string
I think I know one.
The Bible says they’re here on earth
walking amongst us
—-
How would we even
Know if there was an angel
Sent here to help us?
—-
No wings, no feathers
laying around. No halo
hung on the bedpost.
—-
He can’t play the harp.
No white robe. And he wears shoes.
Only clouds? Angel Soft.
—-
I’m baffled, intrigued,
Mesmerized by his presence,
Not in love- in awe.
—-
His heart a deep well,
where Love shines like a beacon
for all to behold.
—-
Generosity
and compassion abounding
with unknown measure.
—-
To have an angel
moving in our midst is proof
that God has heard prayers.
—-
Never stop praying
or having conversation…
I think I know one.

I have two photos of the angels flying around the harbor where I live. Yes, they are around us. I have two best friends who I would swear are angels. Yes, I believe they exist and are always around to comfort and guide us.
