What is it we are after? What is it that we seek so desperately, that longing which bleeds within us?

Why do we fight to be the best, to be the one who stands above the rest, so tall and proud?

What have we to gain? In all this, is there no love to be found? Is there no hope of growth beyond our simple ways?

Have we not yet learned from all that we have endured?

Why is it that we fight to protect what is ours so hard, that we take from another to do so?

Why do we separate ourselves and live for freedom behind gates of fear? Why do we cast upon each other words of pain?

Why do we punish the one who rises to the top?Why do we hate when one of us succeeds?

There are two sides to every story, and I have learned there are four. Just when you think you know, you find out you were wrong.

Is he gay? Is she a whore? Are they liars? These words can kill. To be rejected is one of the most painful things.

Do you know the truth? Will you ever? Does it matter?

Sometime in our zeal to do what is right, we trample on the very core of our beliefs, to be the first one to wear the hero’s crown.

Sometime we are so concerned about saving ourselves that we lose ourselves in the process.

We lose our friends. I pray that we will learn to reach out a little more and hate a little less.

Please….because life is too fucking short to waste it spreading pain.
