And with that, the 2024 season comes to an End

I discovered my love for 'WRITING' when I was 13

But I found the spirit in me this year

I knew I was growing more than I should

But how much I did grow; I realized this year

Every year is a journey; A teacher for me

But A Real Guide for me, has been this year

Whenever I judged people, I would regret it later

"Not to Judge a Book by its Cover" I learned—this year

Life is so much more than 'Study' and 'Job' alone

Complexities of life; I've discovered this year

Booking flights to see the face of the dead? It's too late, man!

Come meet them when they're alive, come on this year

Kindness, love, and respect: Let's do this at least

Smile is a charity, someone told me this year

Why can't I play with my dolls anymore?

Childhood is the best part, I missed it the most, this year

How come we forget the magic words that we once learned?

"Thank You", "Sorry", and "Please", Let's revise them this year

I learned 'to compromise' ain't every time about losing yourself

Maybe giving your 100% would actually benefit you this year

Beauty standards have changed for me; A handsome face is not what I want

An unattractive face but a heart pure and clean; Beauty's not the same for me this year

Even if someone judges me, "I can't and won't see people hurt"

I'll continue comforting and caring for others as I did this year

I believe '1st January' holds a power of repetition for sure

I mistakenly tried cooking pulao that day and I've been cooking it since; this year

I also wrote a few things on the 1st day of 2024

And I'm happy that I've been writing so much this year

I'm still in my 'teens' but I don't feel like a kid anymore

Life has taught me lessons of an old man this year

Troughs and Crests; Meaning Glee and Pain— Life is dynamic

I've learned to enjoy both pain and glee; This year

Every year I learn a new definition of life

"Uncertainty, Variable; Sweet and Sour is life," I defined it this year

I've learned to find happiness in every small moment; Every small word

We have to pass the moment anyway; Why not with a smile, this year?

I just want 2 things as a gift every year; A diary and a poem

I have abundant diaries and bought a lot of new ones this year

I gift myself a poem every year; It's the best gift I ever want

No birthday surprises, No unwrapping of gifts; just a poem, this year!

Let's not make "Imperfect" sound like; "I'm perfect"...

Imperfection is beauty, I embraced my imperfections this year

I've found some amazing people in my life, An addition of a brother and sister

I'm thankful to you both; Thank you for finding me this year

2024 you've taught me a lot!

My life has been Instructive this year

It’s been an incredible year for me, and all I can say is "Alhamdulillah" Words cannot express how grateful I am to Allah for His countless blessings.

I know there are still a few days left in the new year, but on December 23rd last year, I wrote similar affirmations. So, here I am, reflecting with a smile. :)
