And Then, Darkness

Curtains Close

Funny when your mind won’t quit

And goes off on its own

Everything else takes a hit

When it’s dark and you’re alone

Shadows lurking, waiting

For your tired eyes to close

Anxiously awaiting

To take you as their own

Worry, doubt and anger

Are the first things it digs up

Reminders, threats and danger

Of every time that you fucked up

Takes you on a journey, a long painstaking stroll

Through nasty thoughts inside your skull

Like a filthy, disgusting troll

Fulfilling dirty deeds until it’s appetite is full

Leaving you in shambles

A shell of who you thought you were

Till life, and all its gambles

Beat you until you don’t care no more

surreal poetry

Today my problem seems to be that I can't get it started. Just set there staring into the distance trying to remember what I'm supposed to be doing.

  • Okay this was extremely so freakishly relatable! I loved it!
