And Spring Arrives

As a Child

By Mother CombsPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

With her childish behavior

She gusts in on a tantrum

With her roller-coaster character

Like a drunk with a bottle of rum

Wrecking havoc where she treads

Bringing finicky clouds through the sky

Playing dress up with the weather

One day she weeps, the next she’s dry

Finally, working through her issues

With an attitude change, you can’t miss

How she walks through the land

Waking up Seeds with her kiss

Gently she nudges the greenery to life

Trailing through the fields of clover

Caressing the dogwood trees

Like a patiently, tender lover

Gently instructing a virgin

Then with one final loving embrace

Giving way to summer

In a state of grace
