And her lips were the color of roses

Film: The Lobster. In David’s perspective.

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

I play “guess, touch, think, win,”

With you, my love,

To keep our days together

I want to hold you to my heart

I want to keep you safe.

I want to go to a special Greek island and protect your lovely, beautiful eyes

Your blinders that keep you from being with me,

But I won’t let that stop me from loving you, so deeply as I do, no,

Because I want to kiss every inch of your delicious skin.

And as I sang to you

“And her lips were the color of roses”

I pictured myself laying you on a silky canvas,

Spreading your ashen, twine legs,

Licking and kissing your beaded rose petals

Nibbling and sucking and playing and watching you cry out

My name. “DAVID”

“DARLING”

“MY LOVE”

And I don’t stop until you’ve had several screams.

I play “guess, touch, think, win,”

With you, my love,

To keep our days together

I want to hold you to my heart

I want to keep you safe.

I gave you a tennis ball,

You guessed it was a kiwi.

I told you

That you won.

Another great “dream works” poem Melissa. A bit short of breath here. 🥰

Ooh.. very steamy. A lot of “lippy” content lately. 😂 I quite enjoyed this… the lines: “I gave you a tennis ball You guessed it was a kiwi” That was a pleasant surprise!

  • 😍I really enjoyed reading this Beautiful and Salacious piece❗❗
