I’m in an unrequited relationship with magic

That magic

That makes a girl have that

twinkle in her eyes

That spotlight glow around her

That thing

That makes heads turn

That leaves a smile

Burned into brains

The need for that girl

To continue to breathe

That brings movie scenes

To life

True loves kiss

To your front door

But you cant

Manifest magic

With makeup

Or pretty dresses

Or by working out

7 days a week

Lingerie

And sultry words

Giving them a shoulder

Giving them all you have

Left with nothing

But a naked chill

Turns out

Fairy god mothers

Prince Charmings

Happy ever afters

Are only for the ones

Magic loves back.

heartbreak
