an exquisite indulgence

wanting taste buds

ready to embrace

a performances of

culinary creations

first act

earl grey tea

whispers of this earthy

translucent amber

pouring gracefully into

milky white porcelain cup

dainty and delicate

soaring floral notes

emerging lavender

a steeped

ambrosia of

warmth

dances along

my palate

toasting my

inner depths

second act

hungry umber orbs

captivated by

delectable delicacies

cucumbers laying with cream cheese

smoke salmon sprinkled with grassy green dill

creamy egg salad sprayed with chives

so many savory sensations

which one to try?

holt!

third act

desserts piled high

have arrived

velvety chocolate eclairs

lemon intertwined with raspberry squares

fruit tarts of elegantly layered pears

pastel macaroons in pairs

soft scones

blueberry

cheese

chocolate chips

cranberry-orange

sweetest of the highest premiere

tempt my adventurous appetite

tis time to spread a thick blanket

of rich and airy

clotted cream

on those

moist

flaky scones

buttery scents

fly upwards

enveloping my

flavor petals

oh how

divine

this

high English tea

is,

don’t

This is quite the English tea party.

  • I'm sooooo hungry right now, lol! I devoured this poem!

Beautiful images you created here with your words and now I’m very hungry! 😋

  • Personally, I prefer the Breakfast teas along with Oolong & Darjeeling. But my wife is right there with you, Daphne. Earl Grey is by far her favorite, followed as of recently by Constant Comment (what's up with that?).
