An Evening in solitude

an evening of rest and relaxation

By D'Andrea WritesPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

What rest? My pain is alleviated as I sit and watch the crescent of the moon glide across the evening sky. I wish the moment would never die, I wish it would stay, sit with me, a calm breeze, a gentle kiss, the air flows smoothly across the breadth of my face caressing me in this solitude

Silence, sweet peace, how ravishing your fragrance. To taste the sweetness of tranquility, release the cares of the day and drift into the cradle of dreams to wander to let the mind flow and explore,

How limitless is the stillness that blankets me in its embrace and fills me with warmth, sleep is that you? So soothing... Relaxation at its heights, contented. Oh, worry where are you? May I never see you again,

Never will you streak naked across my mind to ruin this blessed peace. The peace that envelops me in a loving embrace, lulls me into a land far far away, and carries me into bliss.

May I never dream of you, concerns, My cares are thrown overboard on a calm moonlit night. Farewell! so I may be at ease forever
