An Ember of Hope

A short story By Mscrypted

By MscryptedPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Cold is a world turned to chaos and dismay.

life fading from those eyes that once out shone,

lighting up the skies above.

But alas, good sirs and lovely ladies,

We have reached a time of disarray.

My heart weeps for those who antagonize,

For the Cancelers and the Karen’s galore,

To those who claim to be woke and are not.

My heart aches as the times of light seem to dwindle,

As Rona lays wake to our livelihoods and loved ones.

As much as the bitterness of humanity hurts,

There is a hope that thrives in our strength.

Still flaring true as the light in our eyes fades with each day.

Nurse that flicker back to the flame,

For this life isn't promised to us all.

May these embers hold true till the ends of time.

so sweet and well kempt
