An edict to surpass everything they depict

Showcasing my abilities

By Mario TamayoPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Little toilets annoy me with every flush

I never needed to be overzealous just to make you blush

Every compliment you never had to rush

I've been thinking too much

You may never notice, I guess that's the price

How easy I'd forget about you, if I were just being nice

Guess you grew accustomed to mice

Burnt that bridge so I wouldn't have to worry about ice

The only version of myself worth loving, lives in my daughter's eyes

While they gleam glory from my demise

A lot of things I had to realize

I'm not exaggerating when I say I'd rather see her than the sunrise

If you like how my brain works, here's how I keep from being torn in two

I love you more than I could ever be paid to

What's that mean, if that means nothing to you?

It's alright to feel left out

Recognize the importance of what you're talking about

That'll follow you regardless with or without

Are you something I doubt or something I think entirely too much about?
